  15.           The _a_p_p_r_e_s program prints the resources seen by an
  16.           application (or subhierarchy of an application) with the
  17.           specified _c_l_a_s_s and _i_n_s_t_a_n_c_e names.  It can be used to
  18.           determine which resources a particular program will load.
  19.           For example,

  21.                % appres  XTerm
  22.  
  23.           will list the resources that any _x_t_e_r_m program will load.
  24.           If no application class is specified, the class -_A_p_p_R_e_s_T_e_s_t-
  25.           is used.

  27.           To match a particular instance name, specify an instance
  28.           name explicitly after the class name, or use the normal Xt
  29.           toolkit option.  For example,

  31.                % appres  XTerm  myxterm
  32.           or
  33.                % appres  XTerm  -name  myxterm

  35.           To list resources that match a subhierarchy of an
  36.           application, specify hierarchical class and instance names.
  37.           The number of class and instance components must be equal,
  38.           and the instance name should not be specified with a toolkit
  39.           option.  For example,

  41.                % appres  Xman.TopLevelShell.Form  xman.topBox.form
  42.  
  43.           will list the resources of widgets of _x_m_a_n topBox hierarchy.
  44.           To list just the resources matching a specific level in the
  45.           hierarcy, use the -1 option.  For example,

  47.                % appres  XTerm.VT100  xterm.vt100  -1
  48.  
  49.           will list the resources matching the _x_t_e_r_m vt100 widget.
